Character of a good research student? it is very important that you think critically and develop your own ‘scientific’ ideas. This is not an easy thing to do. As a good high quality research student, here are some criteria should be in mind:
1. Choose a topic that you are very interested in. - If you choose a topic that you don’t truthfully like it will be very difficult to finish your thesis in a good way.
2. Build on the work and research of others - it is necessary to get an overview of what has already been done so you can build up your work on this previous research.
3.State your own opinion, be critical and give a clear argumentation - give a clear argumentation of how you have build up your statements. Also, give a clear argumentation about the choices that you make during your research project and to be critical about your own research approach.
4. Use scientific terminology in your work -use and/or elaborate definitions from relevant literature and argument your choice. |
